David Hooper
David has enjoyed a career in the television industry spanning over 25 years as a producer, director, editor and production/post production facilities house founder and latterly as an International TV distributor. He formed Espresso TV in 1992, initially as a production company with a pilot project entitled Espresso for the BBC. A few years later David was approached to instigate a daily multi-language sports programming/ distribution service to Latin & Hispanic North America. Since 2000 David has expanded the company to specialise in International co-production and distribution specialising in documentaries, factual entertainment and lifestyle series. He has appeared on a number of International distribution panels and is a visiting lecturer at Brighton University.

Away from the bustling office, markets and festivals, David enjoys cricket, tennis, music and the glorious Sussex countryside. He is also a fan of Watford FC.

Elfyn Morris, Head of Sales - Email: elfyn@espressotv.co.uk

Elfyn joined Espresso as Head of Sales in December 2010. He's enjoyed a long and successful career in programme distribution, having sold all manner of content - ranging from drama and children's to arts & culture and documentaries - during sales positions held at Digital Classics Distribution, Granada International, Chrysalis Distribution and DLT Entertainment.

A native of Wales and a fluent Welsh speaker, Elfyn enjoys escaping to the wilds of his homeland as often as he can to recharge his batteries! As well as TV and films, his other main passion are his friends and family... who keep him sane in times of stress and his feet firmly on the ground!.

Jo is a graduate in Film, Theatre and Television Studies from the University of Wales, Aberystywth. Before joining Espresso TV in November 2006 he held work experience placements in a range of diverse offices, from Quo Magazine in Shanghai, to the EastEnders publicity department.

At Espresso Jo has risen from Distribution Assistant to Content Supervisor - he is responsible for delivering content to broadcasters, oversees the in-house library and works alongside Beth on marketing campaigns as well as registering titles for markets and festivals. He is a fan of the theatre, the cinema and Liverpool FC.

 Beth is a graduate in Combined Studies from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne specialising in Media Communications, Film Studies, English and Philosophy. She has more recently completed a Masters in Creative Writing and Personal Development from the University of Sussex and is the most recent member of the Espresso team, joining as the Distribution & Marketing Assistant in September 2011.

Beth enjoys walks along the seafront, Sunday roasts in local pubs, and reading a good book with a cup of tea. She is a big fan of Haruki Murakami and has just finished her own first attempt at writing a novel.


Gary Mitchell, Distribution Executive - Email: gary@espressotv.co.uk


Gary has over 25 years experience in the international distribution and production business. Initially starting in sales at Global Television Services he remained with them through its transformation into Portman Entertainment before moving with the catalogue to Primetime (formely RPTA). A subsequent move to Chatsworth Television was followed by a further stint at Portman before moving to DLT Entertainment as VP International Sales.

Gary escaped London for the more tranquil joys of Oxfordshire - often seen in the early hours speeding round the countryside on his beloved bike.
