Return to Tuscany

20 x 30'

There are already some 260 cookery schools in Tuscany and now, in Return To Tuscany, London restaurateurs Giancarlo and Katie Caldesi are about to try their hand at adding another to the list. It may be a lifelong dream but the competition is huge and, as the series unfolds, it seems pretty much everything is against them.

As a base for the school, they've rented a hotel they've only ever seen from the outside. They'll be entirely dependent on the staff, but they've never even met them. To cap it all, just days before they leave England struggling under huge financial pressures, they're racing against the clock to build a brand new cookery school in London as well.

Giancarlo is a passionate, flamboyant and proud native of Tuscany, who's returning to discover his childhood past. Katie is his English rose from Eastbourne. Together, they are a refreshingly open, honest and talented couple who, as the series shows, frequently complicate their lives by aiming higher than all those around them. They decide to get married in Italy too, and stage a magnificent ceremony. But even this doesn't go quite as planned....

Return To Tuscany is a rollercoaster journey of emotion, a celebration and feast of Italian food, landscapes and personalities, and a humorous and delightful story of a long, hot, chaotic summer in Tuscany.
