1 x 40' HD Jaroslav Malina, one of the world's best known stage-designers, was born in Prague in 1937. He lived under both Nazi and communist governments. His refusal to join the Communist Party initially hampered his career; yet as painter and stage-designer he has managed to achieve a reputation reaching far beyond the borders of his native country. What drives him as an artist and how did he manage to stay creative in an oppressive environment?
