In 1994 Espresso TV set up a live satellite link for an exclusive interview with Ronnie Biggs, The Great Train Robber who was in exile in Brazil.

Ronnie Biggs gained notoriety for his part in one of Britain's most daring hold-ups - the 1963 raid on a Glasgow-London overnight mail train in which his gang stole a cash haul of a then-record amount of £2.6 million.

He escaped from prison just 15 months after his conviction and sentencing, and hid in Australia, France, Spain and Brazil evading the police for over three decades. Biggs voluntarily returned to England in 2001, returning from Brazil after 36 years on the run.
